Melon Cake

Growing this plant is a dream as it is relatively easy and produces a heavy yield. The flowering time for indoor growers is around 8 weeks and outdoor cultivators can expect a bloom in late September or early October. Once those sticky dollops of resin arrive, you’re good to go. Indoor growers adore this plant for its utterly sweet aroma and have not reported needing a smell proof system in most homes.

Melon Cake is marked by large, chunky flowers that tend to maintain their shape when trimmed. These buds adhere in the relatively loose, loose structure usually associated with sativa varieties. The fluffy leaves, which can easily be torn away from their central stems, are a bright shade of purple.

These flowers are also filled with curly orange hairs (which are actually pistils, botanical structures meant to catch pollen from fertilizing male plants. Capping off the impressive buds is a thick blanket of trichomes that gives them a white sheen and a very sticky texture.
